🎬 PART 2: «The Ring He Couldn’t Explain»

Nathan froze.

His hand instinctively moved toward his pocket.

Grace saw it.

Her lips began trembling.

“Nathan…”

The woman in blue stared at him.

“What ring?”

Nathan stepped back.

“There is no ring.”

The oldest girl shook her head.

“I saw it.”

His face tightened.

“When?”

“Before you left us.”

Grace covered her mouth.

Nathan stared at the child.

“You remember me?”

The girl’s eyes filled.

“You promised you’d come back.”

Something broke across his face.

For the first time, the cold certainty disappeared.

He pressed both hands against his temples.

“I don’t understand.”

Grace moved closer.

“You disappeared three years ago.”

Nathan shook his head.

“I woke up in a hospital three years ago with no memory before that day.”

The woman in blue went pale.

“You told me you had no family.”

“I thought I didn’t.”

Grace’s anger collapsed into shock.

Then the middle daughter slowly stepped forward.

“Daddy?”

Nathan looked down at her.

She reached into her little bag and pulled out an old photograph.

Grace and Nathan stood together in it, smiling on their wedding day.

Nathan took it with shaking hands.

His eyes landed on himself.

Then on Grace.

Then on the three babies in their arms.

His knees nearly gave out.

“That’s me.”

Grace began sobbing.

“Yes.”

Nathan looked at the girls again, horror and grief flooding his face.

Then he noticed something written on the back of the photograph.

His expression changed.

“What is this?”

Grace looked over his shoulder.

A handwritten message read:

“If Nathan remembers them, everything we did was for nothing.”

Nathan slowly turned toward the woman in blue.

Her face had gone white.

And suddenly, she started backing away.
