🎬 PART 2: «What Her Mother Left Behind»

The woman in blue froze.

The rooftop went silent.

Her son stopped crying long enough to look up.

The woman in gold realized what she had just said.

Too late.

The younger woman stared at her.

“I never told you my mother owned this company.”

The older woman’s lips trembled.

“I heard things.”

“No.”

The woman in blue stepped closer.

“You knew.”

The woman in gold backed away.

The guests lowered their phones.

The boy gripped his mother’s hand.

The woman in blue’s voice broke for the first time.

“My mother spent her last year wondering why money kept disappearing.”

The older woman shook her head.

“That has nothing to do with me.”

“Then why did you know she was the owner?”

Silence.

The woman in gold had no answer.

The younger woman raised her phone again.

“I didn’t just freeze your cards.”

Fear spread across the older woman’s face.

“What did you do?”

“I sent the audit.”

Her mouth fell open.

“To whom?”

The woman in blue looked around at the rooftop, the guests, the luxury the older woman had spent years pretending belonged to her.

Then back at her.

“To everyone who needs to see it.”

The woman in gold’s knees nearly buckled.

“You’ll destroy my family.”

The younger woman looked down at her son.

Then her eyes hardened.

“You humiliated mine.”

The older woman whispered,

“Your mother trusted me.”

The woman in blue’s lips trembled.

“That was her biggest mistake.”

Then she held up the phone.

“And before she died, she finally discovered yours.”

The woman in gold stared at her.

The younger woman delivered the truth that silenced the entire rooftop.

“She didn’t leave this company to your husband.”

She pulled her son against her side.

“She left everything to him.”
